Adjust oven rack to top position and preheat oven to 450 degrees. Wash and dry produce. Halve, core, and thinly slice @bell pepper{1%whole} into strips. Halve @ciabatta bread{1%roll}.

In a #oven-ready tray{}, combine @Italian pork sausage mix{1%lb}, bell pepper, and @marinara sauce{1%jar}. Drizzle with @olive oil{1%tbsp} and season with @salt{1%tsp} and @black pepper{1%tsp}. Bake on top rack until bell pepper has softened and sausage is cooked through ~{30%minutes} to ~{33%minutes}.

When sausage bake has ~{5%minutes} left, toast ciabatta. Spread cut sides with half the @pesto{2%tbsp}; halve on a diagonal.

Once sausage is cooked through, evenly top sausage bake with @Italian cheese blend{1%cup}. Return to top rack and bake until cheese melts ~{30%seconds} to ~{60%seconds}. Top sausage bake with as much remaining pesto as you like. Serve family style with pesto toast on the side.
