Bring a #medium pot{} of @water{4%cup} to a boil. Season generously with @salt{1%tsp}. Wash and dry produce. ~{10%minutes}

Heat @olive oil{2%tbsp} in a #large pan{} over medium-high heat. Add @button mushrooms{8%oz}; season with salt and @pepper{1%tsp}. Cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and slightly crispy ~{6%minutes}. Remove mushrooms and set aside. Add @ground beef{8%oz} to the pan. Cook until browned, breaking up with a spoon ~{5%minutes}. Drain excess fat if needed.

Add @cavatappi pasta{8%oz} to the boiling water. Cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente ~{10%minutes}. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

While pasta cooks, melt @garlic herb butter{2%tbsp} in the pan used for mushrooms over medium heat. Add @scallions{2%stalks}(whites) and cook until just softened ~{1%minute}. Stir in @flour{1%tbsp} and cook ~{30%seconds}. Whisk in @milk{¼%cup} until smooth.

Stir in @cream cheese{2%oz} and the cooked mushrooms. Add reserved pasta water a splash at a time until the sauce is creamy and fully combined. Season to taste ~{2%minutes}.

Divide cavatappi pasta between bowls. Sprinkle with @parmesan cheese{2%tbsp} and scallions(greens). Serve immediately.
